Ingredients:
- 1lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 broccoli crowns, cut & separated
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tsp of Cajun or Old Bay Seasoning
- Optional – 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
What You’ll Need:

Instructions:
Step 1:
Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Bring a medium sized pot of salted water to a boil and cook your rice according to package directions, set aside.
Step 2:
While the pan heats, slice your sausage into 1/2-inch slices and mince your garlic.
Fill a medium sized pot with salted water and bring to a boil. Cut your broccoli from the main stem, separate into pieces and add into the boiling salted water, blanch for 5-7 minutes and drain water.
Step 3:
While the broccoli cooks, place your shrimp and sausage into the heated skillet, season with 1 tsp Cajun seasoning, salt + pepper to taste and stir until evenly coated.
Combine 1/4 cup of honey + 1/4 cup of soy sauce and pour over all ingredients – stir until evenly coated and cook for 5-8 minutes.
Step 4:
Add in the minced garlic and cooked broccoli, cook for another 4-5 minutes or until cooked and sauce has thickened slightly.
Step 5:
Distribute prepared rice evenly between bowls and spoon shrimp, sausage & broccoli mixture on top. Serve and enjoy!
