Kelly’s Kitchen Tip’s
Blueberry Grilled Cheese Tips
Cook low and slow: Use medium-low heat so the bread crisps up without burning while the filling has time to warm and melt together.
Soften your cream cheese: Let the cream cheese come to room temperature before mixing with powdered sugar. It spreads more easily and makes the filling smooth and creamy.
Butter the outside generously: A light layer of butter on the outside of the bread ensures a golden, crisp crust. For a slightly healthier option, you can also use coconut oil or a light brush of olive oil.
Customization & Flavor Variations
Fruit swaps: Try strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries in place of blueberries—or even a mixed berry combo!
Nutty crunch: Add a thin layer of almond or peanut butter along with the cream cheese for extra richness and texture.
Sweet upgrades: Drizzle a little honey or maple syrup over the filling before toasting for an extra burst of sweetness.
Savory-sweet twist: Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt or spread a very thin layer of brie with the cream cheese for a gourmet edge.

Storage & Reheating
Best fresh: This sandwich tastes best straight off the skillet when the bread is crisp and the filling is gooey.
Short-term storage: If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 day.
Reheating: Warm on a skillet or in a toaster oven until heated through and crisp again—avoid the microwave, which makes the bread soggy. And nobody likes soggy bread!
